NHMRC Speaking of Science – International research translation practice

Join us for a live panel discussion on research translation practice across the health and medical research sector, unpacking the lessons learned across the United Kingdom (UK), Canada, and Australia on Wednesday 24 July 2024 from 12:00 to 13:15 AEST as part of our Speaking of Science webinar series.

In this special webinar hosted by NHMRC’s Chief Executive Officer, Professor Steve Wesselingh, you’ll hear from a live panel of international and national experts in health and medical research translation including Professor Tom Walley (UK), Professor Martha MacLeod (Canada), and Professor John Prins (Australia).

These international and national authorities with expertise in health partnerships, health systems, clinical practice, research translation and implementation, as well as Indigenous and rural health will discuss how the translation of research into healthcare can improve the health and wellbeing of patients and the communities. They will also discuss the lessons learnt from research translation initiatives in the UK, Canada, and Australia.

As always, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of our guests with a Q&A session. You don’t want to miss this event!
