On behalf of the HCF Research Foundation I’d like to invite you to our webinar “Implementation of consensus-based pathways to reduce variation in perioperative care in a private, academic health sciences centre” with Dr Mitchell Sarkies , Dr Andrew Hirschhorn  & Dr Lisa Pagano.

Dr Mitchell Sarkies is a Senior Lecturer and NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at the Sydney School of Health Sciences. He holds a Sydney Horizon Fellowship that is establishing an implementation laboratory to advance the field of implementation science. His research aims to support translation of clinical practice guidelines into routine care, introduce large-scale policy change, and reduce unwarranted variation in care.

Dr Andrew Hirschhorn has 20 years experience as a physiotherapist and senior clinical and management roles in private/public hospitals. Andrew has a special interest in perioperative physiotherapy, including the prehabilitation and education of patients requiring major orthopaedic, spinal, cardiothoracic and general surgery.

Dr Lisa Pagano is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation. Her current work focuses on examining the implementation of perioperative care pathways into a private hospital setting using mixed-methods research.
