Advanced digital health and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are enabling increased collection of vast amounts of data. These data might be captured through inpatient or outpatient services, within or outside healthcare settings, generated by clinicians or patients to provide more holistic views of the patient’s status. However, health data currently reside in siloed systems, which makes data sharing challenging.

One of the core challenges in sharing health data lies in data governance processes, such as protecting intellectual property rights and data privacy, which transcend organisational boundaries.

The governance of data sharing among multiple actors for secondary uses remains a significant challenge and barrier to innovation.

This webinar aims to explore the current practical, technical, managerial, and ownership challenges of digital data sharing for research from clinical practice and research perspectives and explore innovative best practices for overcoming these challenges.
