This September Sydney Health Partners, the University of Sydney’s Academic Implementation Science Network and the Prevention Research Collaboration will join forces to showcase the work of Professor France Légaré from Laval University in Canada.

Professor France Légaré practices family medicine in Quebec and is a full professor in the University’s Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Shared Decision Making and Knowledge Translation.

Join us as Professor Legare speaks about ways to involve consumers in the scale-up of health interventions and the core concepts of shared decision making.

Scaling in health and social services (HSS) aims to increase the intended impacts of proven effective interventions.
Professor Legare will describe how bringing a consumer voice to the scale up process can help to ensure that beneficiaries’ interests are served by the implementation of innovations across whole systems.
Her presentation will describe current evidence supporting Patient and Public Involvement (PPI), strategies for scaling in HSS, and provide recommendations on improving PPI in scaling endeavours.
Thanks to the support of the Academic Implementation Science Network and Prevention Research Collaboration this seminar can be enjoyed both in-person and online. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to connect over a networking lunch.
