Research with Impact

We connect and support health researchers, clinicians and the community to deliver rapid improvements in healthcare and health outcomes for all Tasmanians

Collaborating for positive Healthcare Impact

The Tasmanian Collaboration for Health Improvement is a Research Translation Centre.

Our aim is to inspire collaboration between consumers, clinicians, and researchers. Local health priorities and the best available research evidence are combined with the experiences and expertise of people who are directly involved. With the implementation of findings and new knowledge created, there are changes in healthcare practice and translation into policy. This benefits the people who use healthcare services and delivers improvements in health.

What we do

As a research translation centre TCHI is focused on delivering impact through the following activities:

Translational Research

Our translational research agenda is about identifying the research needs that are important to Tasmanians, and ensuring the outcomes:

  • deliver tangible improvements population-wide.

Supporting People

Supporting people includes:

  • mapping translational research and research impact capability;
  • encouraging collaboration;
  • supporting skills sharing; and
